| The United States of America flag bar was authorized after the 1st Gulf war in support of our troops. It is always worn at the very top of the officers breast bars. Prior to the flag bar officers would wear a flag pin that measured approximately one half inch and it was displayed at the center at the very top center of the officers breast bars. |
