Detective Mike Usiak came on the job
in 1968 after serving in the United
States Marine Corps. Through out his
career he worked in the 48th precinct,
Bronx where he made over 500
arrests, (robberies, illegal guns and
other violent felonies). Detective
Usiak was honored at the
departments 1976 Medal Day with the
2nd highest medal, Combat Cross for
a "wild west" shootout with four bad
