Police Officer Thomas Barnett had one VERY busy career! Patrolling some of the
toughest neighborhoods in New York City from Washington Heights to the South Bronx.
Tommy has personally made in excess of 1330 arrests and assisted on an additional
3000+ others, was involved in 4 blazing gun battles resulting in five perpetrators shot,
has been awarded the Patrolman's Benevolent Associations "Cop of the Month" award,
New York Shields "Cop of the Month" award, and the Michael Buczek Foundation
"Medal of Honor". Officer Barnett was not only an active cop on the front lines, but was
VERY busy behind the scenes as a Patrolman's Benevolent Association Union
Representative for 15 of his 20 year career. Officer Barnett personally represented
officers that were involved in over 200+ shootings and was the very first Union Official
to start an inquiry about the hazardous environmental conditions stemming from the
tragic attack on the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001.
